Alex Velez, originally from Miami, talks with his fiancée, Dia Dawkins, of Lexington, NC. Alex was raised in one of the toughest neighborhoods in Miami. At age eleven, he began selling drugs and committing robbery. At age 15, he was convicted of 2nd degree murder and spent nine years in prison. He talks about a turning point in his life that motivated him to become a new person.
